It helps that both are visual arts. I'm drawn to beauty and often find it in unusual places, which assists me in both endeavors. In the theater I have an eye for the aesthetic quality of the production, but also I tend to look for the complexities in the characters. I like characters that are fully formed, real people. The plays and productions that feature well rounded characters and their development have real staying power.
This concept has also migrated to my photography. I try my best to use my skills and techiques to more fully reveal the beauty and complexity of my subjects. To show movement, growth and depth.
...if you don't have a plan going in, you'll never end up with anything you'll be truly proud of.
